Same problem here. Do your brakes shimmy a little when you have to break into a turn over 50 mph? I read that the control arm bushings cause play and the braking problem was a sign of this. Also check the strut tower bearings. Best method of finding out though is pure sight, get the car on a lift and grab one of your front wheels and tilt it side to side, you'll probably notice some play and will be able to make out the stress points in the system, the loose parts will flex a little. Ill be starting this project in two weeks, let me know how yours went if you get to it first. Ill post the results when Im done.
