Fred,

Maximillian has a special on Factory M5 sway bars with all upgrade hardware. I had a Euro 535i (same suspension setup as a E24. I had DINAN stage II BUT in the essances of saving money but not performance - I would go with Bilstein SPORT shocks, H&R springs and the M5 bars. Your car will handle like its on rails!
PS Wheels/tires make a HUGE difference too. Make sure to run 16" (15" at the least) I have access to 2-3 very nice sets of 16" ALPINA's and HARTGE alloys to fit your car.

Good Luck!
