Im glad to see people so ready to jump to defend the 635csi. Once again, this was directed towards my dad (BobK)whom frequents this board. He is a mechanical whiz and I have alot of respect for him and his knowledge of bimmers, especialy E21's.
(Sorry I sold the 320i) The reason I bought the M635 is because I was so impressed with my Dads 635csi. Hope this clears things up. I know my Dad can take a joke, and I hope no one took this personally because it wasn't directed towards them.

BobK2.

Why are you criticizing a 635 on th 6 series bulletin board? I agree with this. 635 is a very good machine, without it, the M6 won't exist. I have a lot of respect for the 635.

Wonderful cars, but they break. Bob is right on, but forgot upper control arms, weak air conditioning, TRX mistake, curling speaker pods, uncomfortable and failure-prone power seats, a ubc you can't get to, windshield leaks, self-leveling failure, and other assorted ills that make us love them so much.
