Your in tank pump is dead! When tank is low on fuel, the main pump can not sustain enough flow/presure for the demand of the engine under heavy throttle. Had the exact problem on 2 M6 awhile ago. Good luck


Replacement fuel tank.
Yep, mine rotted round the filler pipe, but had a 3rd party replacement tank fitted from German & Swedish in the UK. Trouble is when the tanks a 1/4 or below I get fuel starvation on rapid acceleration from 1-2, 2-3 both in a straight line and round corners. Tanks been sent back and confirmed that size etc is correct. Could the pump be wrongly located, could the tank be missing an internal baffle.
No wisecracks about keeping the tank full please !
