Do not use distilled water for coolant change...it is corrosive to aluminum parts.The reason for this is that water in its natural state has picked up all the calcium and magnesium etc that it can readily hold in suspension therefor it is in a state of equilibrium.Since distilled water is pure, eg: minus all minerals and disolved solids there is a scavengimg effect on aluminum as water tries to achieve a natural balance.If anything use softened water.
