If you want a buyer to initiate a price go to E-bay.

If you are selling parts you should have a price in your mind already established. C'mon you know, or should know what it's worth to you. Quote a price, this will allow someone to make a counter offer or agree. In that way you have established dialogue, the essence of bartering.

In any case you don't want to alienate any potential buyer. That's just dumb business practice. Not only do you risk losing his business but others he may talk to and influence. He's just done that!!!!

The real question is this: do you want to sell your parts, or play a pricing game?
