No, not bitter, not by any stretch of imagination.
But, you are right, no matter what, most sport seats turn to crap after a while. I gave up on leather treatments/replacement a long time ago. Just bought a good sheepskin seat cover to cover my shame.

cracking. Gear teeth stripping at 800 a pair. Cables shrinking and stripping, Motors failing. cushions collapsing memory modules failing and leather crocodiling. Did I leave anything out Guys??? Oh and every junkyard in the world thinking the sports seats are gold. Besides that they're great.....

I was looking at various e24 cars, with the m6 in particular. What I would like to know if the leather seats used in these cars are of good quality. The reason I ask is because every car I looked at,the driver side seat had an excessive amount of wear(cracking, peeling, discoloration)of the leather. Some of the cars had less than 50k miles on them.Is this something that is common with e24 cars? I know that leather repair can get expensive.
