Hey, all:

I found a couple of 240/45ZR/415 TRX tires, one from a dealer for $229 (ouch!) and one from someone on this board for $100 (thanks). Tire Rack told me that Michelin is no longer making TRX tires, and that Coker has bought the molds. I called Coker and they wanted $314 for the tire (double ouch!).

By the way, the TRX tire listed on Tire Rack's web page and the tire my dealer found are identified as "GT" tires, while the tires on my car are not. Does anyone know if there's any difference? I hope not . . .

I continue my search for non-metric wheels identical (or at least very close) to the OEM wheels, and so far the used wheels at BMWheels in Fresno, CA seem like the best bet. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Thanks,

Chris

discounttireonline.com has the TRX GT for $180 each. You can email Michelin for the updates on the GT. I wish they would put the TRX in thier online product listing but for some reason they have chosen not to.

And I'm not sure what tireracks deal is but Coker does NOT make the TRX. They are made in France by Michelin.
