Yes, this is the piece that helps direct air flow
to the radiator. It usually falls off or breaks,
as my hasdone on several occasions. I just gave up
and refuse to replace it again. The radiator still
gets plenty of air flow.

Can someone with a 1988 or'89 635 do me a favor and look under the front spoiler to see if there is a rubber/plastic piece that spans the width of the spoiler between the spoiler and core support.
