Had the same problem on mine last year. Car worked OK for about a year after simply tightening up. Replaced the bushings this year though.

My M6 had the Six shimmey, despite the rotors being in spec, new polyurethane thrust arm bushings, and a new center link. Finally discovered one of the lower control arm ball joints was bad, and now it's a whole new car.
