I have alot of heat coming through the center console where the shifter and window switches are mounted. It get so hot at times that it is uncomfortable to touch the window switches. I had the car on a lift today and did not see where I was missing a heat shield. Did I miss something? More importantly - how do I fix it!

Hello Johnny, there is a rubber boot that fits snuggly around the gear shift lever the reverse light switch harness also goes through it.
Very common for it to deteriorate over the years and blast the heat into the car. Check the dealer I think it's about $20.00, get him to show you a parts break down.
