Troubleshoot tips for cooling problems? (archive)

I have a 633 which I can start and runs for about 10-15 minutes (pretty cold outside currently) and idles smoothly, but then it starts to overheat and shoot coolant out of the coolant level sender in the overflow bottle.

I have a new thermostat and all new hoses installed - but how can I troubleshoot to see whether the problem may be the water pump or if it may be the radiator? Is it possible that air may still be in the system..and if so, should I try bleeding it when the engine starts to get hotter? If I try bleeding it when the car first starts running, I don't notice anything coming out of the bleeder, even though there is enough coolant in the overflow tank.

Thanks
