Y'all,

I'm almost to the ventilation controls to track down my broken cable problem. However, I can't remove the plastic face panel. All the screws are out, the knobs are off, essentially it is just hanging there. It looks as if I have to pry off the left side of the cable assembly from the panel and the piece that it is attached to is the illuminated diagram that displays the control settings for defrosting. Should be easy right? Please help.

How is that illuminated diagram secured in place? with glue? That's how it looks on my car.

While I'm at it, is there anything I should do for preventive maintenance while I have the entire dash torn apart.

My appreciated,

Norman

To remove the contol panel you have to unclip each cable and pop it out of the slide control. there are three cables coming up from the glove box side. The blower control has to be unplugged and the small illumination bulbs have to be unplugged. AC and hazard switches also. Now would be a good time to drop in a short shifter and replace the bulb in your OBC if it's out.
