U.S. '85 635CSi w/ JC chip, until recently it has idled consistently at 750-800rpm. In the last 2 or 3 days, the idle has jumped up to 900rpm (at best) to 1100 (at worst). It doesn't oscillate, just idles at those speeds at both cold and warm operating temp. The O2 sensor is good, and I haven't fooled with the AFM setting. It does remind me of a rich condition though, because when I first depress the gas pedal the rpm dips a little and then sputters to life. So... does this have anything to do with the thermo time switch or the cold start valve? Just guessing, any help appreciated.
