My fan runs only at high speed. The NPN transistor checks good. Bently manual shows a resistor bank in the drawing rather than a transistor. Is the fan control dial a potentiometer that supplies base current to the transistor with the fan motor in the collector/emitter circuit? I assume that the click I hear with the fan control fully clockwise is a relay or set of contacts shorting the transistor path. Any help would be appreciated before I start removing the controls from the dash. -Thanks-
