Toure, thanks for the advice. I was referring to the possibility of installing a short throw shift kit and whether that might solve the problem also.

I think it might be time to replace one or all of the following parts:

ball cup lower: 25 11 1 207 744
lock ring: 23 41 1 466 112
ball cup upper: 23 41 1 466 110
spring washer 23 41 1 666 122
rubber ring: 23 41 1 666 133
rubber cap: 25 11 1 220 228

That will deffinetly improve your shifting.

One thing about your note piques my curiosity thought. Are you refereing to short shifter or are you refering to a slot shift gate?
