Hello all,
Still nit-picking over what rims im going to put on my M635. One particular wheel I really like are the 17" factory 15 spokes, OE on the E34 and E39 5'ers. The 17x8's are a good fit with a 22mm offset, however the company im dealing with hasn't been able to get any for 2 months (they deal in OE take offs) What they do have, is the same wheel in 17x9 with a 26mm offset. Its my understanding that
11-22mm is the best fit for 6'ers. I really could use some feedback on the fit of 26mm wheels possibly with spacers, and input regarding running 9" wide wheels up front. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestion.

For a start,FORGET 9" rims on the front of an e24.Never work right.
Original recommendations from Hartge and Alpina were 7.0" or 7.5" in a 16" rim.In 17's,you MAY use wider rims if they are designed toward your suspension(read;not too much unsprung weight).
If you like the new BMW factory rims(NOT copies),I have access to new rims at a considerable discount, direct from Germany, depending on the style you may wish to use.I can sell some at what is usually wholesale. Some are light enough to work well on your car, others shouldn't be used.
Supply me with a style or part number, and I can tell you if the wheel is safe to use,and if my discount makes it practical.
Also, what springs, shocks, and bushings are you currently running on the car. This will affect the ability of the car to adjust to the different setttings.
