Hi Corey, I had the same problem and noticed that the front corner flashers are also running lamps-I think they require a specific BMW factory bulb. The rapid-fire flashing went away once I replaced the bulb with the factory part. While the amber covers were off, I also replaced the small 5 watt side marker bulbs-these small bulbs may disintegrate when trying to remove them-may want to keep a pair of insulated needle nose pliers nearby. Hope this helps.
