whiring noise in front end (archive)

Hi my car has developed a noise in the front.as i drive if i turn the steering slightly to the right i get a humming noise but as soon as i steer to the left it disapears.i changed tires front to rear but no change and i can not see them rubbing anywhere. i checked for play in the front wheels but cant feel anything. would this be a wheelbearing going bad under load. and if so any idea which one .can i replace the bearings in the hub on a 1986 car with abs or do i need to replace all the hub thanks guys
