I've got an oil leak coming from somewhere in the front right portion of the engine. It's enough that you can smell it and it has covered the underneath in about 100 miles. The oil is fresh (not burned)and after inspection the only wet area seems to be around the filler cap. Would a poor sealing filler cap put out that much oil? I've got two priests and a rabbi praying for me its not the head gasket. Any ideas? I'm going to Gunk the motor and run it shortly but thought I might get some leads. TIAcheck your oil pressure sending unit. Drop straight down from the throttle position switch and you'll see it. Real PITA to replace but cheap.
If that much oil was coming out up on the engine (like the filler cap) and running on the exhaust you would know it. Hopefully it will be something simple.
