Bore Stroke of 633 , Piston wear? (archive)

Tried the archives alreready. I am looking for the basic info on bmw inline 6 engines so I can know what will interchange with the 633 engine. is it normall to just re-ring or will I need new pistons, rebore on the cylinders? just trying to decide how big a job a rebuild will be, and how much machine work to expect.
