Bill,
The bottom end of a big six engine is extremely robust. With 7 crank journals and high grade alloy, it is not unusual to get 400,000+ miles without reboring. I just tore down one with 140k miles to re-ring it while I had the head off for a rebuild and the cross hatching was still quite evident. It would be unusual under normal wear and use to need new pisons, but an inspection is always in order.
