tried this recently - post 85 wheels have some kind of steering wheel lock crown on the base of the wheel. You would need to grind about a inch of this crown off to allow the shorter pre 85 steering rod/bolt to fit through. Good luck!


Hi,
I need to know if steering wheels from post 9/85 cars (that share the same hub connection p/n as the E30's) can be retrofitted to an earlier car. From the parts CD, it looks like the collar piece is the only part that needs to be somehow fitted to the steering wheel base. Can anyone confirm? Any BTDT? Thanks!!
