Of these cars, what is each of your favorites??? (archive)

The selling of my L6 enabled me to buy a '91 735i. I spent the entire time I owned it enhancing its performance, and constantly comparing it it my L6! I saw a white M635csi for sale one day, and all the work on my 735i (suspension, paint, wheels, big brakes, bracing, chips for motor/trans, exhaust, cam gear work, $3000 in audio, and various other cosmetic upgrades) went out the window! I sold my 735i for about half of what I had in it, just to get the ///M! While insurance has been KILLING me, I have thus far enjoyed the car as I have no other! I will drive 6 cars as long as I can, especially when I find a Euro '89 ///M6 with leather everything!!! YUMMY!

I dig burning Y2k cars in the turns, off the line, and even just sitting there at the light, with a rare vehicle that should be worth 10x what I paid for her!!!!

While the 735i was the "plushest" vehicle I've owned, it was nowhere near the joy to drive that a 5 speed, 300hp coupe provides, even with the great performance it had when I'd finished with it!
