What about the door lock heater? Have you tried pulling up on the driver's door handle for a minute or two and then trying to stick the key in?

Happens to me too... that's the reason I'm not getting the central locking system repaired now that it's broken. Had to sit in my car with the heat on for 35 minutes before I could open the dirvers door this morning (it was 7 degrees). I can always open the pasenger door, but I cant even get the key in the drivers door. I wonder what's up with that...
