I'm in the process of replacing my water pump on my 79' 633csi. I have no idea how to get the fan off that needs to be removed in order to get to the pump. I do know that it is the original pump so it has a 13mm nut(or bolt, not sure) on the front of the fan. Someone mentioned using a pully wrench? I don't know of anyone who has that, i may need to use an alternative (rigged) method of removal. thanks a lot. justin

by the way i found out that my car has no thermostat. lol. i'll fix that too.
If it is the standard fan clutch the nut in teh clutch is 32MM and REVERSE THREADED. Place a wrench on the nut and then strike it with a hammer in the apparent wrong direction. It should break loose. You may have to try to hold the pulley by backing out a couple of the bolts and jamming a large screwdrived in between them to hold it.
Good Luck,
