I have spent sometime on mobile.de & since i live here, i can check out some of the offerings.

A few months ago i noticed a B7S turbo offered for a seemingly reasonable 28000 DM (under 14000 USD). I went to see & drive the car & found it to be obscenly fast - and dreadfully maintained. The cost to fix all the little things that had been allowed to go bad (especially at alpina prices) would have been horrendous. This car, despite the low-ish mileage had been seriously flogged on the autobahn.

I do know some people who have gotten lucky & scored a great car at a reasonable price (85 m635csi - 56k kms - 7000 USD, hell, i only paid 3500 for my 635csi), so the door wings both ways.

All that aside - i will be happy to scout cars for anyone interested for a nominal & reasonable compensation. I can send you group of digital pix, arrange to have the car inspected by BMW, pick you up at the airport, take you for a 240 km/h ride in my 635 - whatever you need really. Always happy to help fellow enthusiasts - just compensate me fairly.
