The car is a 85 635 Euro w/ Sport Select Tranny and 110,000 miles. The car shifts smooth and normal. Recently changing sway bars, I noticed tranny fluid coming from the inspection cover on the bottom of bell housing. I guess it's a seal? If anybody had the same problem I would appreciate on what was needed to fix the leak (seals, dropping the tranny?). THANKS Jim

Can't answer the question re: the seal R&R as I haven't yet had to pull my tranny. But, before jumping in make sure that its not the Power steering system leaking (ATF also). Check the power brake booster underneath to make certain its not leaking and also look over the fluid reservoir as well as lines. The system commonly leaks and can dribble all over the underside of the car.

HTH,

Bob Duckworth
