Always get a receipt!!!

My 1982 240D ran like a tank, until one day, I had to fuel it with "The only Diesel in town..." Fifteen miles later, kaboom! No more engine :( My mechanic claimed that there was ALCHOLOL, as well as some type of salt in the fuel! When I took the matter to court (Ma nad Pa refused to believe that it was their gas), I lost, because I had no receipt. EVEN THOUGH two other Diesel owners had ruined their Benzes at the same place that week! (None of us had receipts, and the Judge claimed that, since the incidents all occured in the same part of town, perhaps a person was vandalizing Mercedes Diesels that week. All three of the cases pending against the fill-up station were lost, due to LACK of RECEIPT! (In hindsight, not one of us thought to go to the station, fill a jar with 15 cents worth of their product, and get a receipt, oops).

By the way, the shady fuel station was bought out by a corporate-bigwig-name-brand-wonder-mart, and the old farts that sold it are living in an RV now. Turnabout, I say, is fair play. (Mess with MY %uckin' car...) LOL

Had my 6 car been the one to meet her demise, I'd have GONE POSTAL on those dustbags!!!
