Euro 635csi questions (archive)

There is this euro 635csi that I am thinking of purcasing for $1000; the only problem is that I don't know the exact year. The pink slip says 1983 but on the drivers side door frame it has the import tag with the date of manufacture-1984. What is it? The serial number is WBAEC710108173805. Any help is appreciated. Thanx
