Yes there is a secret, and, no offense to Stewart, but his method is much more likely to damage the gasket. The trick is to lubricate the seal and the track liberally with something like WD-40 (that will eventually evaporate) and then slide the end that winds up at the bottom of door frame into the track at the front corner near the mirror. You will see which end is which, since it is formed to the shape of the door openining. Keep sliding the gasket into the track. Although I did it solo, it would have been much easier to have a helper feed the gasket into the track at the front corner while I kept pushing the gasket along the track to its final destination.
