I had an 85 US spec. 635CSi that had a limited-slip diff. It was an option though as indicated on the dealership papers.
I'm looking for another 6 now and I wonder how to determine if it has a lsd and if BMW ever made them standard after a certain year.

I believe standard only on the L6 and M6 though not certain.

LS Diff's have an "S" on the diff tag.
