I bought my '86 635 a few months ago and my vent controls never worked. Is this a common problem? Any advice on what to look for and/or how to fix it would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks to those who helped with my heater blower only working on 'full blast,' I replaced the power transistor today and it works like a charm... if only I could control my vents.


Upper and lower slide are mechanically linked to flapper doors via cable. Center slider is an electrical control to the fresh air flapper via stepper motor.

Are your sure that the upper and lower are non-fucntional?
