What are these cars like to live with ? is the advertised 21 MPG a real world figure for highway driving and likewise 15 mpg around town. I am impressed with the handling & level of comfort and considering a 1982 model with 80000kms

I have had my 635 for 14 years now !!! It's a phase one car , 1981 and has about 102K now. It's a manual 5 speed gearbox. I have always worked out my fuel consumption and in LONDON traffic I get 12-13MPG. On our motorways , where I don't often visit I average 37 MPG. I found the latter hard to believe, but I have checked it a few times and it always works out to be the same - my motorway driving is between 70-100mph.
