these do look like the 740 wheels i have on my '85 euro 635. i have dunlop sp8000s on them size 225/50/16. i had to use 15mm H&R spacers to get them on with no contact whatsoever. the '89 may be different.

by the way, does anyone know the part number for the center caps from the E34 5 series 15x7 bbs wheels?

I recently purchased a 1989 635CSI with original wheels. I need to know if I can substitute 16x8 BMW wheels from a 5 series on my car. The part number according to bmwwheels.com is 182 277. Basically I'm trying to find 16x8 BBS style/look wheels. I've attached a link to the picture of the rims I'm thinking of purchasing. Thanks in advance for your input.
