my 88 m6's (3 months new to me) batt. goes dead when the car is parked for a week or longer, the car had new batt. and now has a second new batt. otherwise everything fine.

i do notice a small spark when i hook up the batt. even if have all power, off including holding the trunk light off. if put a batt. kill switch on the negative side and cut power while stored every thing is fine except it is a pain to reset the radio, time and turn the switch on(under lid in trunk)every time i want to go for a spin on a nice day.

i cant think this was normal when car new because people would have been stranded (and mad)@ airorts, hospitals and ather places. car lots would have looked silly having to jump there new cars when someone wanted to test drive them.

how do i fix?
