Later 635 withouth cold start fuel injector? (archive)

I decided to inspect the fuel rails and hose connections but could not locate the cold start fuel injector. Did BMW did away with it from 1988? Where is it exactly? If there is one, shouldn't there also be a thermo time switch? I also couldn't locate it.
