If the intake manifold has 3.5, there is no cold start injector. If the intake manifold has 3.2/3.5, there should be a cold start injector. Assuming the car has not been modified. To located the cold inj follow the fuel rail. It's between the 3rd and 4th inj. There's a fuel line a the base of the rail. Don't see it, then it's probably the later 3.5L motor. Look at the thermostat housing for a blue pickup/connector. On the 88 eng there will also be a brown pickup/connector. The blue should be the thermo switch the brown is the temp for the inst cluster. On early 3.5L, the brown and blue are in series/parallel (can't recall exact elec terminology) and in addition the thermostat housing has a blue vacumn line pickup (it controls the charcoal canister inputs) and a single blade pickup that is temp for the inst cluster.
