Bought my '87 M6 on ebay. I'm in Texas and the car was in Chicago. The car was generally as advertised or worse. I didn't get ripped off, but I didin't get as good a deal as I thought I did. I would only buy a car on ebay again if I could inspect it and/or drive it first.
