If they are not scrubbing, what's the big deal? I had a set of Mille Miglia wheels on my L6, and you could barely fit an envelope between the tire/strut. The strut moves with the wheel, so your main concern is 1) Scrubbing 2)Offset!! 3)Weight!!! If you know the offset of the rim, H&R can provide a set of QUALITY spacers to bring the offset closr to home. et20 to et22. I am using an upgraded suspension on my Bimmer, so my offset (et15) is not a huge problem. The car actually seems not to understeer as badly as it did with the 415mm BBS rims.

Regardless, if it handles well, and there is no scrub, I'd drive it a while and see if it changes anything (handling thru curves, tight corners, etc.). An easy way to check if it is "barely" scrubbing, is go out to a parking lot, and drive a few S cuves, as well as big circles at about 40mph. Also take some turns at full steering lock, both right and left. Then remove the front rims, and check for a small moark at the top of the strut where the brake dust has been worn.

Be CAREFUL!!! If it is REALLY scrubbing at full lock, you can lose control of the car.
