I recently bought a Jeep Wrangler on eBay so that I could put the M6 away for the winter. I asked a fair number of questions by e-mail and then talked by phone to the seller - a used car dealer in New Jersey who was selling on eBay for the first time and was very concerned about getting a positive feedback from the transaction. Based on all that, I thought I had a really good deal when I won the auction, but while I continue to believe I got it for a pretty fair price, it wasn't in as good condition as I had been lead to believe. There were a lot of little problems, and now, two months later, some rust is mysteriously starting to appear. The good news is that because I was buying from a dealer, for an extra $450 I got a three-year extended warranty, so at least if anything major goes wrong, I'm covered. Bottom line - the seller is going to make the car sound better than it really is - and a used car dealer is always a used car dealer. YMMV . . . Chris Burdett
