I have a 1983 635 (euro) the headlights don't come close to the brightness of those on my 1989 525i. What options do I have to increase the headlight brightness?? Has anyone done this

You can upgrade to elipsoid lamps found on the 88 and 89 635. I have an 85 US spec 635 and was not pleased with the look or the brightness, I made the change to elipsoids and I'm very happy. If you decide to do this you will need to use a higher resistance fuse.
