worn cam (archive)

noisey valve train turns out to be worn cam. Local BMW shop quotes 600.00 cam-192.00 rockers-200.00 gaskets& fluids-labor 700.00=1700.00 BIG ONES. seems high to me or is that about right? Feedback appreciated. Should we look at anything else once we have it torn down etc.?
