Going from NY to Fl. (archive)

Hi,
I'm going to be driving from NY to Fl next week and was wondering if there are any spare parts that I should carry.I have a 85 635csi with 196k on it.I just did the cam and head over,new cap,rotor hoses belts.It runs fine.My friend say I should have a main relay as a spare.Does this sound right?Any help would be appreciated.I'm driving and my wife flying.I gave my son my 80 633 and am going to meet him in Fl.Also bought a radar detector because I'm dying to let the car have some fun and me to.Thanks for all your help with this car

PS I bought it from a doctor who was told it had a bad flywheel.Paid a big 1000.00 for it and it looks like new.I've got you beet paul in cape cod for finding good deals i think
