I'm looking at an '82 633CSI. The motor, tranny are both good, the interior has no rips, body has small door dings, a the rear valance above the exhaust is rusted. 1 inch crack in windshield. Motor has 207K on it, runs, starts, idles smoothly. New clutch master and slave cylinder. Has gold BBS style wheels. Paint is a bit faded, but all there other than the above mentioned rust. The speedometer is not working and the drivers side window doesn't work (power)

Other than that, what else should I be looking for, this would be my first big six purchase and want some advice on what I should be looking for.

Please give me your thoughts...

Phil

phil i am 47 years old and have owned over 200 cars (8 or 9 bmw's). i say only take the car if they almost give it to you (then sell for parts to wrecking yard). the cost to bring it back (and time and hassle) to a car you would be proud of will be more than it will ever be worth.

wait (and/or save)for a nicer one w/no rust, a better history, and w/lower miles(207 plus what while broken)
