Its the stories of each of us that makes owning such vechichles so enjoyable!

I remember as a child of about 10, not knowing the first thing about BMW or their models but seeing a bright red M6 and just blown away by its beauty and exotic interior that was driver oriented compared to anything I ever saw in an American car.

From that day on, even while not knowing just what I had seen, I knew I would one day have that car. My infatuation with old camaro's etc just fell to the wayside.

2 yrs. after driving my first car, an 82 cutlass, I saw a 630CSi for sale at a shop next to my job. It had absolutely a horrid paintjob and was obviously in the middle of restoration. Took a look at it and the interior was very sound as was all the mechanics which were just refurbished, reason the mech had the car was the owner could not pay his debt and gave him the title.

Perfect oppy to buy and restore the car I always dreamed of.

Well, I was not prepared for what happened next. Seemed every day I would have a stranger comment on what a find I had. Other 6 owners stopping into my job or stopping me on the road to comment on entering into the "brotherhood". It was quite a warm feeling even though my car at the time looked like shit!

The big day came when out of the blue, an owner of a 1980 Alpina B7S Turbo6 stopped in my store with his immaculate beauty and explain his coming into such a rarety of a rare breed. Extplained its 330HP and options. All this from spotting a lowly 630Si that needed a serious paint job.

Right then and there I realized just what I had stumbled on.

Have haqd the car for 7 yrs now and still, each and everytime I step foot into it, I get the exact same rush of pleasure as I did day one, even before firing her up.

German engineering at its finest!
