I was pretty happy with my little 320i. I liked the acceleration and the solid design. Then one day my neighbor's friend came by with a six series. With all three of us in the car he took off from a stoplight like a bat out of hell. I knew instantly what my next car would be. So I bided my time checking the newspapers and finally found one. The test drive was disappointing because it did not run well, but it was so beautiful I bought it anyway. It took almost a year to get the car running perfectly. Meanwhile I worked diligently on the interior and on polishing the paint. After it was all shined up I started getting compliments. I've driven enough trashed-out cars to really appreciate it when a gorgeous babe said, "that's the most beautiful car I've ever seen." Others would stop me at lights and ask about it. Now I'm on my third sixer. One thing that often comes to mind is the idea of smooth power. The rubber guibo in the driveline, the perfectly balanced engine and the fine fuel management system all contribute to the smoothness. These cars put power to the road far better than most. The sheer power of the M635 has got to make you smile. I never tailgate and I creep along when in a neighborhood, but sometimes I just have to give it some gas on the freeway onramp or from a light. I generally don't exceed the speed limit by much, but that initial acceleration is a kick. Then I always laugh when some dufus in an Eclipse has to go 90 mph to pass me and prove his manhood after getting left at the light.
