Oh I forgot to mention that the donor engine is from a 1992 735i.
Thanks.

Hey Groupe:
Next weekend we will be doing the very popular E34 engine swap on my 1986 csi. Some of the differences that we are aware of are
a)that the wires to the computer must be lenghtened 18 inches,
b)that the engines mounts must be position just as they are on the E24 engine
c)that we must use the E24throttle-body.
My question is, what other cosmetic or structural differences are there between these two engines that we should be aware of?
As usual, thanks for all your help.

Clive
