Hi gang.
I'm hoping for some insight from you all. Tonight my M6 died on the freeway...just a sudden loss of power, followed shortly by the engine dying. After having the car towed home, i tried starting it again just for kicks. The car immediately started and idled normally. The car had run just fine up until the moment it died, no clues of any kind. Is it the ECU? Any and all comments and/or experiences are appreciated.

Sounds electrical to me. Start by checking the wiring bundles from the battery to the engine/DME/etc for loose connections. Also, if you haven't lately, it might be a good idea to replace the mani and fule pump relays. They go south after a while and can cuse wierd problems such as you describe.

Good Luck,

Bob Duckworth
