Strange thing happened last night.. started going up a hill in San Francisco and part way up I accelerated and suddenly got a loud thumping noise from under the passenger seat.

Sounded like the drive shaft wobbling around and hitting the floorboard. Foot off gas and it stopped. Flat pavement, stomp on it and no problem...get on a hill, gas pedal down and a LOUD thump, thump. thump, thump..till I let up on the gas..

Where do I start looking?

Hopefully only the center bearing on the drive shaft. Worse case, maybe a rebuilt drive shaft.
